well, I'll say it again :I completely agree with this. It's my fault for not clarifying in my post that I was referring to pre-organized PF groups and not df. Ninja loot does indeed exist though. Example joining a pf that specifically says greed party and joining as tank since they desperately need it but you are asking for heal gear. You win and have your heal gear stolen by a healer who needs on it who happened to want it as well. Is it your fault for being helpful for going tank or healers for needing in a group that specifically had clear cut rules about it being greed only? To me I say healer and that's why some kind of loot system besides having to run to GMs and tattle over "X took my Y wahwahhh" every time.
unless all participants have stated "I agree to the lot rules of the group", they have no obligation to follow them. Yes it's a douche move. But your blacklist is here for that.

I feel like a jerk for saying this, but I am going to quote one of my favorite fan fiction authors here:
"Everyone has an opinion, and they're all wrong"
Basically it comes out to this: unless you are stating something that can be verified as hard fact (which is outright impossible, not even Scientists claim things as hard undeniable FACT) then you are stating something that amounts to an opinion. And opinions can always be proven wrong in some manner.

Oh oh oh oh can I use a quote too?!I feel like a jerk for saying this, but I am going to quote one of my favorite fan fiction authors here:

Actually, I've kind of seen this happen... to me... I'm a new player, very new. Only been playing maybe two weeks? And When I was running the level 15, 16, and 17 dungeons I didn't know how to hold hate at all, I had the bronze set which was level appropriate, but that didn't stop 3/4 items in the level 16 dungeon being for me. I've seen the same thing happen in Brayflox's Longstop where I got the full Cavalry set AND Icebrand in a staggering 4 runs after walking into that dungeon still wearing some pieces of the Plunderer set from earlier in the game. It seems whenever my gear falls behind dungeons just throw loot at me. Alternatively I did Dzemael Darkhold after getting level 45 AF and nothing dropped for me.

For Party Finder, I'm not against slightly better loot control. But that sort of loot control should be limited to say disable Need rolls.
Any party that involves getting additional people through Duty Finder should be left as it is today.
