Did it tell you why you got kicked?
I am quite sure, if they can't find anything which proves if you were wronged, but neither that you weren't they wont do a thing.
Maybe you did something you weren't aware of that ticked someone off, or someone was in the group that has a grudge against you whom you might not even know.

if the "name initiated a vote to dismiss name from the group. reason AFK" a lot of people will klick yes without checking even once.
because in CT people going AFK is a thing, people tend to believe it without checking it

It actually didn't, which is partially why I was surprised. I was just standing there with my party waiting for the MT to pull the boss and all of a sudden I got booted back to New Gridania with the message "You have been dismissed from both the party and the duty.". Twice. If you get nominated to be kicked do you actually see the name of who initiated and the reason? Because I didn't both times. It seemed random and out of nowhere. But I certainly wasn't afk at any time.

I guess that's the only possible explanation, that I did something someone didn't like or that someone there just didn't like me I guess. It's still an abuse of the vote kick system and I'm not okay with it. Heck, I can't take it when people get vote kicked in general unless they're blatantly trolling/sabotaging, are offline and don't come back online or is afk the whole time.

I've never seen a vote dismiss fail on an offline player. And I guess I've been really lucky in in that I've never seen a player kicked that didn't absolutely deserve it. And every one of those players was also told exactly why they were getting voted out before the vote was initiated.

Your best recourse is to report being kicked. Make a GM report and just tell them you feel you were kicked out unfairly and weren't told why. You probably don't even need names, they should be able to look up what instance you were just in and who else participated.

Queues aren't four hours long, the hyperbole makes me doubt your honesty with the rest of the post. I for one have also never seen kicks except on the dc'd or the trolls, so I don't think the problem is as rampant as you think it is either.

There is a 4 hours CD between each time you can initiate a vote kick.

Anyway, we fought for that vote-kick function due to AFK idiots in dungeons for free tomes, it's not to see it removed

I would never run CT if there wasn't a vote kick.

Whenever someone disconnects in dungeon, it's just common courtesy to ask the others before initiating a kick. And to wait a few minutes to see if the person returns.

While vote kick can be abused, any abuses should be reported.
