EQ: 8-9 top tier events with another 8-9 in the expansion (and if you have played EQ you know lower tier content is not completely invalidated by higher tier content like in modern MMOs)
Rift: 8-9 20 man events per tier. another 5ish 10 man events.
WoW: original raid (MC) had 9 events. Quick google says the current stuff is 14 events.

They have had almost a year and were still looking at 4 events per tier.

While the rest of your post is lunacy and isn't worth the time to respond to.

SO explain to me how my weekly FFXIV time should go.

Lets see. To improve my character (alts included) I can.... cap my soldiery (for alts). Do raids. Get Novus. ok so lets see the average.

Without being at home to check its something like

1. 90 soldiery a day simply doing expert and trial roulette.

-----So 30 minutes a day for 5 days. 2.5 hours total.

2. Raids. Lets say the average group is 3 hours a raid night (2 full instances) 3-4 nights a week.

---- total 9-12 hours a week.

So we have a 11.5-14.5 hour a week play time.

~2 hours a day averaged out.

Are you suggesting the average casual player plays less than 30 minutes a day on average? (note the casual meaning non raider.. so all they have to do is soldiery cap and maybe do some myth farming)

And a raider plays about 2 hours a day on average?

/sarcasm on

Yep clearly were not pacing ourselves enough locked up inside at all hours of the day never seeing the sun.

/sarcasm off
