    Monk healing

Odd topic, yes, but I'm curious how Second Wind is actually calculated and how to best proc max potency from it. I can get 1400 heals for time to time, potentially saving healers a heal (yes I realize that's not saying much, but any help is appreciated, no?).

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

Yes but that tends to vary, depending on what you're doing. Sometimes I pop Inner Release and see 1200-1300 heals; sometimes I'm just in GL3 and see 1400s, sometimes I just use it without having any buffs and see between 600-800. Seems a bit inconsistent and I'm looking for what the "max" heal would be (certain buffs, etc).

to be more precise, it scales of your attack power.

ie, you can see it as a 400/500 potency attack, inflicted to yourself (it's a heal but whatever).

as such, when you're buffing yourself with +atk%, +dmg% or stuff like that, the potency further increases.

as an example, Berserk as a warrior increases the heal by 50% (because it ups your attack power by 50%)

B4B will get you a mean 10% (25% if DRG) bonus in your heal.

each stack of GL will give 6% (?) heal bonus. It can crit too, so a 600-800 with 18% from GL3 and crit gives 1000-1400 heal

if you stack B4B on top of that, you get a 1100-1500 heal. I don't think it scales with fist of fire though.

Blood for Blood doesn't affect it either, nor do Greased Lightning stacks as they don't directly alter your STR or DET, Strenght pots work too.
When I use it in the city as monk I crit around 1750~ When I use it in battle with all mentioned buffs up I'll crit heal for 1750~ so it's the same.
The only buff worth using if you want burst heal would be internal release since the higher crit chance does help.
I can confirm that Berserk from Warrior does help because it directly boosts your attack power.
I stand corrected nice infos here

I'm pretty sure it's also affected by Mantra as well. That's an additional 20% healing out of it, plus some bonus healing for nearby allies (meaning generally other melee DPS and tanks).

Second Wind is effected by Weapon Damage and attack power and can crit.

So anything that increases those stats will increase the heal from Second Wind (pending RNG on Crit of course)
