Setting actions and traits needs to be drag and drop

    See title.

When manually setting them or tweaking them, it'd be nice if I could drag and drop what I want into the slot I want.

For people playing on a PC this probably should be second nature.

Additionally there should be a swap position feature. Such as drag and drop to switch two different skills' position on the Actions set.

It's really cumbersome at the moment to try to remove an ability and reposition it to another slot. Such as trying to remove shield's guard from slot 1 and reposition it so you can put a basic attack such as Light Stab for gladiator on slot 1. You can't, you have to remove the shield, reposition your Light Slash, and then equip your shield again.

What's even more frustrating is you have to do this each time you switch a job that can use a shield and want your basic attack such as Spirit Dart on the first slot if by some odd chance you unequipped the shield and reequipped it before setting your skill.

I think when they actually talk about UI fixes for real we'll get this. I've heard them talk about separate UI for PC, and about drag n drop, but at this point who knows.

UI should have been designed for PC from the beginning. Everything should have been designed for PC from the beginning lol.

Well this is part of the problem, isn't it? A company who made their fortune designing console games is struggling now with trying to make a PC game. I don't think that they will ever let go of the current design, because they are still developing with the thought in mind that Ps3 is going to be a reality.

If they can be convinced that Ps3 is a pipe dream that will only hold the game back, maybe we can get them to take a serious look at the UI.

You know its not soo much a problem with a gamepad, its more so that we need a user interface that actually can be customized for PC players and gamepad users. I myself play with the gamepad so if they were to drop support for a gamepad like some of you wish, then alot of players would leave the game imo. I really think that 2 separate user interfaces would be a neat idea but it be hard to implement i imagine. Also about actions and the action bar, i am going to make a suggestion to add a remove all button to the action menu. It kinda gets tedious having to manually remove actions every time you change your class.

I agree with the drag and drop to set up skills, but what I'd really like is a button, which when pressed, saves your line of skills to a macro slot so that you can recall the setup without needing to type an entire page of macro text which needs to be retyped manually each time you want to test a different setup.
