The Novus grind is getting easier...but the Animus...isn't...?

The other side of the argument is, if you only care about the main stat and weapon/magic damage, why not get unweathered? That's pretty much the reason why some people are going Novus instead of unweathered.

And the ability to upgrade it in the future.

There are few reasons people are going for Novus:

1. Super glowy weapon Yay!
2. It's slated to be even further upgradable later.
3. Some people don't raid or can't get past Turn 8, so the Novus is their most viable option for an i110 weapon.
4. The importance of secondary stats may be being overestimated.

The third reason will of course change as more sources of Sands of Time are released, but it's valid right now.
