Game Crashes After Selecting Character

After logging in I select my character and start to load up the world, then the game stops responding and crashes down. I did not experience this issue before 1.18. I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue and/or knows how to fix it.

I had this issue and unfortunately i'm facing more problems with connection.

What I did to fix this can be a bit simple

1. Use port mapping in the FFXIV config settings.

2. Basicly go in IE (internet explorer) and put the square enix website as a trusted website. also lower some of the security settings. I dont use IE so i just lowered all the security settings lol.

3. look for the FFXIV game file in my computer; right click and trouble shoot it. After trouble shooting have the game run as windows xp service pack two. Basically the recommended settings.

I'm not a tech expert, but this seemed to help me. Now all I have to do is reboot the game and hopefully it works on my end...

I realize that there's an issue with multisampling. try to lower it to none or 2x. I'm gonna make a report about this soon I think this update screwed with it.
