We need more Housing Wards!

I usually do not complain on the forums but this problem leaves me no choice. I was fine when housing prices where incredibly high, and even when Gardening was locked behind the system since with hard work an dedication a house was at least obtainable.

Now we arrive at 2.3. Not one new system of the patch but 2 are locked behind Housing again, Chocobo Raising and Personal Rooms. This time however a house is not obtainable anymore on many servers because all wards are full. Every single plot, in every region, in every ward is bought. New Free Companies have no way of obtaining a house and are therefor locked out of new content.

I do not care that you make housing a requirement to access certain features in the game but if you do so at least provide the infrastructure so that every free company has at least the chance to meet these requirements.

I want a special ward of nothing but small houses for all the 1 man FCs out there. Im considering doing this since we wont see personal housing anytime soon but there havent been any small houses in the limsa are available in a long time.

That's correct - SE confirmed a new 6th Ward is being added in 2.3 earlier in the month found here:

• The Mist, Ward 6
• Lavender Beds, Ward 6
• The Goblet, Ward 6

We’ll be making adjustments to the prices of plots for each world right up until the patch, and we will make a follow-up with this information at a later time.

I really wish it was more than one ward per area, at least on the more populous servers. It's going to make getting a good location really difficult for the FCs that don't have good income between the members/many members who make gil regularly, but still want something bigger than a small house.

do it. especially with private rooms coming. you'll get a main floor, basement and a separate bedroom now so you wont have to partition off sections in your basement for them.

I'll never stop stressing enough about how it was still way too early to allow FCs buy multiple houses, and why SE decided to do this is beyond my comprehension. I'd understand one house per area, but on my server there are free companies that own multiple houses not only in the same area, but even in the same wards. I mean, grats on being rich and all, but smaller free companies like my own who took longer to gather enough gil are left with no options until a new ward becomes available..

But of course, at this point it's too late to correct this, since gil has been spent. Now to hope I'll manage to buy us a small house before they're all taken again when the new ward comes out.

The target for personal housing is 2.38 apparently at the latest. So individual people need to cool their jets and let actual FCs have the plots instead of being selfish jerks. Eliminate all the idiots using FC houses as personal homes and there'd likely be a good deal more plots available.
