Problems with FPS

Happened to me as well. I had an m14x that was going just great, and all of a sudden an inexplicable frame rate drop in only this game. I tend to not update drivers unless something is broken, so it wasn't a driver change, and my temps were the same as they ever were - just around 70c ish. Nvidia 555m. I ended up getting rid of the notebook in favor of a more powerful y510p with 755 sli (that shreds the game, btw, though it could be just muscling through whatever was bad before), but it was definitely something weird that changed within XIV. If it happens to this machine I will likely take more time to research it more.

And I sayed before, I'm 100% sure my drivers are updated.

I know for sure isn't low performace of the hardware, once I can run Battlefield 4 on ultra without any problems, so I kind think it can't be anything related with my computer, must be or something within FFXIV or another thing they use.

My temp running FFXIV is graphic card not even reach 60°C and my Processor barely get over 30°C so I think they aren't been used at they full speed for some reason.

question, you havent stated where your frames drops occur, 4 man instances, 8 man, ct 24 man or rev toll or areas with lots of people.
if you are getting massive frame drops in instances, then something is wrong, if you are getting massive frame drops in crowded areas, well thats normal and nothing at the mo can be done about it.

It happens anywhere, literally. If Im facing the ground I get low frame rates. I wouldn't dare to enter on a 24 man =)

Hey something simple that might be something to check. A lot of intel computers even with a nvidia card have an intel hd video built in as well and you can screw up windows settings on a per program basis to run with the intel video instead of your real card. Any chance that happened?

edit* note this is pretty much a laptop issue if you have a desktop disregard.

Nops. My Mother board doesn't have an APU, so it has only one graphic output, the GTX 770 , besides nothing on my computer belongs or have anything with intel xP. I'm using an AMD processor.

I found a benchmark called "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Official Benchmark". I run it at the max setings and got a result of 6628,does that score is good? If not how much it should be?

Important thing to note, I got 6242 and I couldn't get the test program to use my nvidia card it would only use the intel hd video unlike the real game. So I'd say those results are pretty poor.

that's an notebook, are you sure that isn't a problem with the driver label? Regardless.

Any reason for my video card being that bad in the benchmark?

I haven't had consistent frame drops, but I always get HORRIBLE framerate crashes during the 2nd boss of Brayflox hard mode.
Very strange.

I usually have a constant 40+, but after about 5 mins fighting him, I get drops to 2-5 fps that last 10+ seconds at a time.
It only happens during that fight. I get worse frame drops in that fight than I did when I fought Odin.
