So the biggest separation here is that it sounds like the OP is essentially asking for more Coil, or put differently, horizontal progression. They want other, max tier, bleeding edge content to do.
End game encompasses way more then that though. Technically, everything you can only do at max level is 'end game' content. Max level dungeons, CT, and Coil, as well as the Relic/Atma line, *star crafting, and unspoiled node gathering. Frontlines will also be end game content, and further GC ranks might be as well, though as they might not add those until a level cap increase, it's hard to say. Same with Gold Saucer, except we have 'no idea' what to expect from that.
There's also quasi-end game content; stuff that you're likely to almost certainly 'going' to do at end game, but which could be done a bit sooner. Like leveling your Chocobo, maxing your beast tribe reputations, or leveling alternate battle/crafting/gathering classes (as you've technically hit end game once you max one battle class).
So yeah, I'm all for getting more end game content, as I love having more to do with my character. They're working on that though with everything they add, so it's not really a problem.
