Collector's Edition Upgrade

I would like to get the collector's edition items added to my account. I see on Mog Station that I can pay to have it added. However, I would like to pick up the game on Steam and I'm hoping that I would be able to apply the collector's edition code I get from there to my existing account. Can anyone confirm if this is how that works?

If you already have a pc game registered you won't be able to add another PC ( steam ) game, if the game you have now is for PS3/4 then you will have access to the PC version of the game and the collector bonus.

You can upgrade through the mog station to a collector's edition. You will just have to pay extra to get it but once you do it, your PC game will be upgraded to a collector's edition.

I'm guessing you want to get the game because of the Steam sale but unfortunately I don't think you can't "upgrade" your current PC game using the Steam CE version. That would just add a second PC version to your account and the bonuses won't be added to your current characters.

It would not register a second PC version to the account, because every platform can only be registered once.

So OP, if you have already the PC version registered, buying the steam sale would do nothing for you (the CE items are in the CE registration key).

Yes you can, but not the same platform

PC/PC would not work
PC/PS3/PS4 work
