Returning player - Transfers.

I'm considering returning to FFXIV, I played a long time and left shortly after crystal tower was introduced. The new servers weren't open to transfer when I stopped playing and I was wondering if they are now open and I would be able to transfer off a Legacy server to a different one.

I also noticed some new EU ones (Zodiark?), are they open and how are the UK populations? I ask because I have some friends who potentially want to to play too (new players, new characters) and I'd like to transfer to where ever they pick

The 'new' servers that were available from launch or a few months after are now open to 1.0 character transfers - the only three servers which you cannot transfer any existing character to at the moment are the three new servers added for the PS4 version - Zodiark, Shinryu and Jenova (you can only create a new character on these servers). It's unclear when these three servers will be opened up for transfers, but later in the year is my guess.
