I recently got my PUG to level 30. I really want to unlock MNK. However, I am conflicted, should I level my PUG all the way to level 50, then Lancer to 15, then change to MNK? Are there any pro's/con's to changing classes/job right away or waiting?

I have never unlocked a JOB before, does it start at level 1?
