    DC'ing in the new Instances

    I really hope they fix this, but i waited hours for people to finish the quest to do the instance and when i get in, 5 minutes in, i disconnect. well, disconnecting would normally not be a big problem, but this event is an hour long and you cannot get back in the group after disconnecting. It just seems like a silly small problem that can become a large gimp for a group.

    I remember thinking it was very silly when they mentioned in the patch notes that people who disconnect during a raid are moved out of the dungeon.

    I don't see why they wouldn't just reload back where they lost connection, and if the timer for the instance has since expired then get booted, like in EVERY instanced area in FFXI.

    Different servers, different engine, different programming.

    It seems they tried to get it returning to instance, but they couldn't acheive this in time for 1.18. Keep pushing and they'll likely get it into a future patch or address it along with other server-related fixes.

    Ya I hope that they don't consider keeping that as it is now. it does make no sense when you are in an even witha timer to get booted out from d/cing or crashing. It adds unnecessary stress knowing that an event can fail because you d/ced at a bad time but if you could d/c and re-enter it would not be a problem.

    I guess the issue I see is they weren't able to consider how to keepa person in a dungeon. Perhaps they could color code the party that enter where you are given an invisible tag such as your party is "blue". If you d/c your time still reduces (it works like that in abyssea and even the herme sandals continue to lower in time if you keep them on and d/c I believe) so I don't see why this would be any different. But basically when you relog in, It'll determine your "tag" and how much time you have left and if said tag completed the dungeon while you were d/ced. If it determines the following has not been completed then it'll put you back into the dungeon.

    It does seem silly though to lose all that progress cause a connection when wonky or something to that effect but a ya hopefully it's only like that now because of the issue of wanting to release the patch for user input.

    This is an extremely LARGE problem for my linkshell.

    Every time we enter the Darkhold instance "someone" disconnects, and no matter how many times we enter someone with ALWAYS disconnect at the worst possible time.

    It wouldn't be a problem if, as soon as they reconnected, they did NOT get kicked out of the instance.

    Seriously, is there any reason these instances are NOT like FFXI's were? Where if you disconnected inside you were returned RIGHT back where you were with the timer counting down and NOT instantly booted out?

    Please, Dev team, fix this problem, get it done, and get it done fast.
    Because I doubt we're going to put up with this problem much longer...

    Wiping in an instance and getting kicked out is one thing.
    Wiping because 'half" of the party in the instance suddenly d/c at the same time is another thing entirely.

    Is there any Word on this from DEVS ? kinda sucks i know its to preven certain exploits but damm , if this keep happening often this is a big problem

    I wish they had something like in another MMO (cant remember which one, ive played so many >.<) where when you d/c you stay in the party for a certain amount of time and then if your gone for to long it takes u out of the party (they can also be kicked). But if you come back in time you are still in the party thus fixing the problem of quick d/cers. That way you can continue with the dungeon without getting kicked out for a little d/c.
