    Sepheroth and the Primals (speculation/spoilers)

So I as played through XIV, I though of the Advent Children movie and I noticed some coincidental similarities between Sephiroth and the primals. There will be spoilers for Advent Children.

    1. The first of which is the scene with the children in the glowing forest. The way this happened and the effects on the kids bring tempering to mind, although Sephiroth didn't appear in that scene.
    2. Next up is the appearance. Sephiroth appear during Cloud's battle with Kadaj. It is made apparent that the Primals will aid their worshipers right?
    3. It is important to note that normally Primals exist in a spiritual plane until they are called by their worshipers. Likewise Sephiroth exists in the Lifestream prior to the move (as per his defeat in the game proper). And returned there after his defeat in the movie.

Now for the evidence for and against this idea

    1. Again I state that Sephiroth didn't appear during the forest scene (to anyone but Cloud, who was likely to far to count).
    2. As for the battle. Kadaj was at best drawing with Cloud and at worst about to get killed. Primals tend to aid their worshipers and the Remants do have at least some worship for Sepheroth and JENOVA. However Aside form the possession implications there is a notable lack of crystals (unless you count the materia or JENOVA's head somehow crystallized).
    3. As for teh Lifestream thing. I don't know where the primals go when they aren't being summoned, only that they turn into dispersed aether on defeat. The Lifesteam may not be entirely applicable to the primals in this case

The point of this post is me wondering if certain aspects of the primals were inspired from Advent Children. And no I don't know the spoiler codes.

    First, Sephiroth. I, not E.
Second, you can edit the first post, edit does not have char limit ;D

And I thing you can say that the aether (where primals are when not summoned) is somewhat like Lifestream, yes. But I doubt any AC relation.

I'm sorry but I think you're making connections with things that, frankly, have no connections. As RaphaelDDL said, the aether and the lifestream are effectively the same. That is to say, all beings are comprised of it; it is within and throughout the known planet. Unfortunately, there ends the connection. Sephiroth is human--a super-Human, technically but still human nonetheless. The Primals have no real corporeal form as far as we know. The forms that we fight are thought to be the beastmens' thoughts of their appearance made form through the aether.

As for tempering, I cannot say a defintive "no" on this as brainwashing is brainwashing; though the reasons for the brainwashing was different.

Also remember that the Primals don't always come to their worshippers' aid. Titan will; Ifrit has; Leviathan I'm not so sure of. Ramuh, without doubt. Garuda would most likely come to fight, but not necessarily to protect.

I think primals are generally equally protective, but have different motivations for it. Titan's dialogue passes him off as the sort of wise old knight figure, standing as a wall between those he can protect (who look to him for protection) and those who would harm them. Garuda probably isn't less likely to come to the aid of the Ixal, but the only reason she'd be doing it is because she's psychotically power-hungry. Less worshipers means less power. You think she's going to stand by while someone reduces her power?

As for the aether / lifestream, it has been referred to as Light of Creation on occasion. That is an enormous, translucent umbrella under which you can make the case for there being a lot of things. If you go looking for links, meaningful or not, you're gonna see 'em. That's about all the speculation I'd be willing to openly state on the matter, these days.
