Scout questions

Scout looks exactly like a thief job in other FF games.

Will scout have classic thief skills like steal, mug, pilfer gil, sneak attack and passive skills like increased drop rat and such?

With these I think Scout might be the first class worth switching back to when soloing as lvl 50.

Also does scout turn into NIN as a job (!?) am I the only one who thinks that's a bit odd.

I think you mean Rogue. No such thing as a scout in this game.

It's actually called 'Rogue' not Scout, and from what we've seen, it's probably going to indeed be something of a 'THF-lite' type class (the lore for the class definetely hints at it). And as for NIN being the Job upgrade, it's not actually that odd (not as much as BRD coming off ARC!), if you've done the 2.2 storyline, which not only hinted at NIN and RGE even then, the storyline clearly touches on just how similar both class/Jobs are. But I digress...

I don't think that Rogue will use any of those things.
If Rogue got increase drop rate, pretty much everyone who wants relics, would get NIN, just to farm atma/alexandrites.
also there's just a few items in the game, that are semi rare; like puk eggs, pudding flesh. Would be weird if you needed ROG/NIN, to farm those.

Oh sorry my bad I thought it's scout, anyway ROGUE still looks like Thief to me.

So will it have any of the thief skills or will it just have the same stuff as all of the DPS classes we already have?
I hope it will be more specific since the difference between the existing dps classes is already a bit hard to distinguish.

they posted translation of Rogue skills, from patch 2.28 (not all skills, but some)
