Possible Exploit with rank 45 dungeon involving first treasure chest?

I would like to apologize if this is the wrong forum not 100% sure where this observation should be posted.

In the Darkhold dungeon there is a chest that spawns fairly close to the start. If you enter, the 5 min re-enter timer starts and all you need to do is have a gladiator with high hp and sentinel up flee with the archer ability to the chest and open it. It takes around 40secs to get to it like that.

The gladiator dies and the armor piece (if it drops) is obtained by the rest of the group, The group then can simply leave and reenter after a short 3min wait and do it again.

My question is this considered an exploit since it can be repeated 12 times an hour greatly increasing the chance of gear drops from chest?

Found this by accident tonight, but was able to do it again without any difficulty when someone brought up that it could be used to get fast gear.

I doubt its an exploit. They put the chest there after all....

Thats what people said about the salvage glitch, and low and behold a year later they banned half the end game community on xi. This is definitely an exploit, you are meant to do the dungeon for your gear not quickstride to the chest, die and re enter. By the time you get out of the dungeon all you have to do is wait for weakness to wear on the tank before you re enter, or if you have multiple tanks with quickstride you can substitute them out and re enter immediately. The best gear in the game is meant to be worked for, not gotten with little to no effort.
