for the last 2 weeks myself and several other people have been having major server issues ingame to the point we keep disconnecting. i've emailed square about this issue and the only reply i got was to simply "restart my modem" well i've restarted my modem everyday for the last 2 weeks and the problem is still here and iam not the only person experiencing it. iam on excalibur but i've talked to other people and other servers including balmung and cactuar and they also have this issue. i've waited patiently for square to make any kind of announcement about this but not once have they said anything but then today the elemental (japanese) servers experience an issue and is immediately fix'd with an update message.

What server issues? I've had none for a long time. Also the two IPs you see there with 100% Packet Loss are because those are private IPs, if you don't have one of them on your local network, they will never get a ping response.

This. If you're getting packet loss along the way to the servers, there's a problem with the network. Not your network, mind you. The network past your house, in the big ol' series of tubes that is the Internet. I would take your pathping information and get a hold of your ISP, and let them know that somewhere along the way there's an issue. Give them the information, and from there they can try to pin down where the connection's gone bad, get a hold of the right people, and fix it.

You never know, maybe somebody crashed into a net hub or something somewhere.

The image the OP posted shows no packet loss to the servers. It only looks like that because they're trying to ping private IPs on SE's side, which won't work.

The loss they had was from private configured servers in the data center that hosts FF14. The loss there is normal and isn't really loss but the server intentionally not responding to the ping. Their pathping was excellent, and assuming it was taken during the time period they were having problems and not hours before or after, it suggests that the problem is 100% on SE's server in this case.
