PLEASE give me the FFXI system to invite people, as the one for FFXIV don't work!

Certainly the party system could use a fix. My linkshell died while I was on hiatus from this game, and it's been just about impossible to use the current system to get a party together for the dungeons, or anything else for that matter.
FFXI's system wasn't perfect, but it worked. At least using it as a base for a new and improved system would really help the party creation dynamic (and thus, the game as a whole).
I am a player since beta and have not yet found a practical way of using the search feature. Please give me a /sea all " " command.
While we are on it, why can I not see what zone my party or even linkshell members are in? And also to add, why do I need to see who is NOT signed online in my Linkshell?
Bump! I refuse to let this die..
even with a perfect party search tool there will always be shouting, the search party really shines when your in a town shouting for a healer or tank and there is one available doing leves 10000 yalms away, where hes just killing time waiting for someone to invite.
Agreed. This party search/recruit function I've been using since launch and its pretty awful to be honest.
1) Search lasts 60 mins tops until it expires, its a pain starting a new one, then you wait another 60 mins for no one to join.
2) No one uses it therefore no one joins your party recruits, unless you shout in town for people to join and even then people don't use it
3) FF XI's works better, just go with that, solve a lot of issues for people and make things somewhat faster than it is for people who just want to group up, level and get $#!% done.
Not only should we have a search system for players, but the information should be incorporated into other things in the game as well, like friend lists and the linkshell menu.
I think it's ridiculous that in order to tell what classes my friends are and what ranks they're currently at I have to either ask them all or pull up their Lodestone profile out of the game. If the Lodestone can update every so often with all that information outside of the game I don't see how it could be so hard to periodically poll the server for some of it inside the game (like FFXI does) for a search function.
I agree whole heartedly.. It does not make sense that an outside application can be more functional than the program itself. FList and LSlist should display the Aetheryte Area a person is in what class they are and of course the basic functions of sending tells and invites and what not. The stupid Green light if they are online highlighted name if they are in the zone thing is pathetic. Not only should we have a search system for players, but the information should be incorporated into other things in the game as well, like friend lists and the linkshell menu.

But let's keep this on topic so SE actually does something to fix this severe issue..
Give us an Easy to use search function with a party flag and criteria to whittle down the results. Don't FORCE us to search for one person at a time..
Second to last in the popular thread list.. I fear all hope is lost.
