FFXI's search system for god's sake!! IMO it was perfect!
And yea, that SHOULD be a priority, since our leves got nerfed.

Great thread! I agree 100% please add "looking for party flag" and a search function just like FFXI. The search function from FFXI was very user friendly and functional, and that is what we need for FFXIV. This should be top priority. Acctually, I have not been playing FFXIV for the very reason that the current search engine sucks bad. I would play all the time if you impliment the FFXI search.
I've had full 50 dowdom classes for like 3 or 4 months now. I still agree w/ OP. Hoping dev has responded/responds shortly.

This is needed so badly. I can't imagine a time where i could for any reason think that finding a party should require more than two steps. The current system takes what, 15?

Agree! C'8
Totally agree!![]()

I hadn't been posting on these forums, but I guess I'll start on the chance SE listens. Would hate for my voice, and that of many other non-forum people, to be drowned by a vocal minority.Originally Posted by Korbei

That said I agree with korbei 100% here. The lfg in place does work now, despite being clunky and unintuitive, but we've had an even worse one for so long no one would notice or bother to use a new one unless the old were publicly axed. It looks like we're getting a party focus (which I love), but that really needs a decent lfg to go with it. Even hardcore players enjoy playing out of their ls sometimes.... or at the very least do it when ls is empty and they need a sixth (or eighth, as the case may be).

Ohhh My GOD, I totally agree!!!!!!!! I party with my LS for the most part but sometimes i log in at hours that my LS is either already engage (doing leves, grind, etc) and the party is full or there is just no people to play. If i'm in the mood to solo that is no problem at all, but if i want to party it becomes utterly frustrating to get a party formed; and getting invited to a party is a waste of time. Really, they need to simplify things.
Devs don't want to get rid of the current system?? They probably have their hands full with other in-game problems, but please a little improvement to the current system at the very least is most needed.
The /sea all command; is not that much to ask, is it????
The current system is just moronic. I'm hoping the guy who designed it got fired when the staff got changed around. The search function in 14 is just stupid. It makes SE look really really bad. Probably why so many people jumped ship in the first week.
I come back every patch to see whats changed... sadly they fix the tiny little things but keep the MAJOR problems and tell everyone "its working as intended".
It doesn't matter if its working as intended or if its how it was designed to be. Its not something that we want. That's something that the dev team doesn't seem to get into their heads. Its not about what THEY want. Its about what WE want.
But I bet that most of the time the dev team now are just looking over code saying "lol who wrote this?" for the most part.
Stop adding new content and start fixing existing content. Make that the top priority.
A response to this topic would be appreciated.
