Hey come on now, clearly things like adding a new pose emote take priority over a functioning party system in a MMORPG. :-)

Have the devs mentioned at all about an overhaul of the current party search feature? I'm looking to get back into the game but the current system is just so tedious I don't even want to play. When you're not part of a Linkshell it is just so tedious to get into partys.

DEV's please reply or something. I'd be happier with the DEV's saying "give us a couple months to add this" than just completely ignoring the multiple threads that have been going on pertaining directly to this issue. Apparently it's not an easy fix, either that or Yoshi-P seriously has his priorities out of whack..

Just thought I'd chime in another agreement for the huge need for this.
There were several things in FFXI that didn't work as well as they could have. But, you really didn't have to throw the baby out with the bathwater, ya know?
The current system could be useful in its own right. But, without a quick system similar to what FFXI had, the current system just isn't enough on its own.
Just the fact that inviting someone requires that we have to find each other (or now be in the same LS I guess?) -- really?!

But it's from April 20 -- 6 months ago.We discussed all of the latest opinions with Yoshida. While it won’t make it in time for the implementation of the raid dungeons that the development team is working on currently, we’re planning on implementing enhanced LFG (looking for group) and automated party creation features.
Also, while it won't be an easy task, we are also checking into the discussions for a cross-World instant party creation system.
Please continue to leave feedback so that your time and experiences while tackling dungeon-related content in the future can be enjoyable!
Since the last update added a small (still unused) function for parties, the following was also posted by Bayohne:

In my opinion, devs should put a hold on the less fundamental, though very cool, aspects that have been mentioned to get the party invite system fixed. I can live a little longer without chocobos. I can't play a game where I can't group easily with others.For those of you asking for a brief tutorial on the new "Seek Invite" system we updated the Lodestone with just that. We are taking all the feedback we've seen thus far, which is a lot as I'm sure you're all keenly aware, and will be discussing it with the dev. team.
In the future, we do plan to make it a more streamlined experience when seeking a party, similar to the party search systems of other MMOs.
Otherwise, here's what very well may happen:
People who have heard that big changes have started happening will read the notes for patch 1.19 when it's released. After reading the long list of the awesome stuff, including good changes to the fundamentals of the game, they will miss the fact that the party system still isn't fixed. Then, they'll update and log in.
They will realize they still can't make a party. Many will leave the game again, this time, I'm afraid, for good.
We don't need an awesome cross-server raid/dungeon grouping system to begin with. We may not need it at all. Please give us a basic real party grouping system, then see what we want as far as enhancements.

Maybe going a different direction with this, but here is my take on the seeking party system from launch till now. What I mean is this is not the first game they have developed and they know it's critical for, oh my a MMO to allow you to, I don't know easily play with others.
I fear SE did not put the easy, usable search party function in because of the lack of content and severe nerfdom of leveling in this game. Remember your first job to level 25, without the sub job (whatever level we got it at in ffxi.) Personally it took me forever to get a rdm/whm to level 30. It was my first ff and mmo. The point was it was a challenge. No daily exp leves, free gil from everything. You had to beat stuff up just to make your way through ffxi, and yes you would fail (not the go back to the aetheryte and try again wink wink, fail. The, lord, I did not set my home point and we don't have raise I might as well quit this party because everyone thinks I am a noob now FAIL.) In failing you, and later the parties learned what works and what doesn't. That being the back drop for where we are now. I digress.
Imagine IF they put the code (I'm sure they saved the one from ffxi) for an easy LFG at launch, heck even now? Zoom zoom party grind damn 1 level fifty down in 4 days, bam zip another, pow zam,boom,, ooops I leveled every job in a matter of 2 months with great awesome parties. Now let's ummmmm ummmm ...... ummmmm.... craft till they raise the level cap in another year and a half??? Look at forum posters from all over, 5 level 50's everywhere, WITHOUT a functioning LFG.
So yes I agree it needs to be in there, truly it does!!!! However, maybe instead of making everything look really fancy first, they could have created some content over a five year dev span; player progression, role development, party involvement (with the ability to find one included absolutely free), then nice looking trees.
My guess, it being square and everything, is that they did just that, it's all in the works and everything is going to work out perfectly and this is all part of the game somehow building up to the seventh umbral era, they did make ffvii after all. Till then I am going fishing. Please say this year has been a dream SE!
Honestly lundakh that's what I believe they did. They just made it so we cant easily pt with each other. Another things is the party spots. Have you partied recently? What the hell is up with the camp sites they're retarded. Mobs are either too far apart or repops so slow. I just joined the game recently because I was waiting for the game to improve but I still see no improvement. Where ever it is it's pretty slow. I know that I touched on different subjects but since you brought up the obvious reason of why they might have not put a user friendly search party function. End rant.

Yeah please just an answer from DEv.. Please ; ;
<Infernalangel - ASURA - FF XI>
just read the letter from producer. no mention of search function update AT ALL???? WTF i give up with this game.

Agree with this, we definately need a LFP icon (shouldn't take much to add one) I would rather see something better than the /sea command though.
The current Party search would work if they updated it to work so you could search criteria much in the same way the /sea command worked though.
