New egi's?

Noticed a ramuh-egi during Ramuh fight in the trailer for 2.3 Defenders of Eorzea, that confirmation levi and ramuh egi will be for 2.3, or was that tease? >.<

I'm pretty sure it was a tease. Yoshi said it wouldn't be fair to give Summoner new stuff and leave out
every other class. So most likely no more Egi's until a level cap raise/more abilities.

Per Yoshida's words we won't be getting additional egis until the next level cap raise when they give everyone additional abilities. Those are most likely enemies like the mini Titan guys in Titan extreme or Garuda's sisters.

Well those were adds of some sorry as they were being used around a mechanic to bounce the lighting strikes horizontally through the party. But it is possible that it is a new egi but I doubt you would like it in the way believe it can be used with out technically breaking the promise...SMN specific aoe limitbreak animation.

or you know it's just like titan ex where we have the egi's in the figh, since they already stated no new egis till lvl cap raise.

You can cleary see an egi atking him, its got some redish horns and his dark dressing, its on the lower left corner when the striking tree title shows up

Since it's clear you didn't actaly watch the video or try to look at it before you posted. Pause it a1:47 they(there are 3 of them) are exactly miniture Ramuhs, not egi's but actual mini-ramuhs, still larger then the player. There is 3 of them all moving at the same time, doing the same animation, and the same effects. They don't have horns they have the red wing things, i'm assuming are lightning rods. They charge up an effect and then all 3 launch the effect at ramuh which he then follows with a giant lightning explosion on him. This looks like what would be titans jump but for ramuh. In no way, shape, or form does this look like an egi, it looks exactly like ramuh, it's very easy to see that it is multiple adds and that they are just powering up ramuh not attacking him, like in many other fight.

Pretty sure Yoshi stated long ago that level cap increase won't be until expansion release. Plans change so not sure if that's still the case or not but definitely wouldn't hold my breath for that in two weeks or so (it'd be bad for your complexion at least!).


Edit: Well, maybe not bad for certain Roes' complexions XD But still probably bad for overall health, so yeah...

I'm pretty sure Yoshi-P said that they won't be releasing new Summoner egi's until the level cap increase because that would be unfair to the other classes. It could happen but I don't think it will for patch 2.3. Also, I'm pretty sure those were little mobs on the trailer but it's not clear enough so I'll just reserve judgement. ^_^

Oh and I think that the first "new" egi summoners will get in the new expansion will probably be Leviathan but I could be wrong
