A fair amount of the LNC/DRG leveling gear(scale mail series) is shared with tanks and the LNC/DRG i90 PVP set is a dyeable recolor of the Brayflox Calvary set. So the DRG having Tank lookalike gear isn't a nonpossiblity. Plus notice that the far left armor set shows an awful lot of skin and pretty much all tank armor but the heads are all covering.Well regardless, as the trend has shown in the image alone that gear set has to be tank gear. Otherwise it wouldn't add up with things like... mnk/drg coil gear looking the same but different color. Why would SE suddenly make drg look like a tank gear wise, it doesn't fit. Chalk this up to that allagan bio-metal crap where mnk/drg allagan sets look like some weird metal/leather crossbreed.

Ya something like that. I don't care about the names too much lol.Yeah on closer inspection I'm more inclined to this. Plus Acheron wields a sword in CT1, and casts black magic but that a different debate altogether. Also was it confirmed that CT2 will be 3 tanks, 6 healers and 15 dps? I remember a screen where that was the queue for CT2 during the e3 live show but I wasn't sure if it was for development purposes or if it is finalized.
Edit: isn't Xande set what the lalafell and hyur are wearing?
far left (Acheron)
If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.

Oops made a mistake in thinking that the lalfell is wearing Xande's set. Xande is the Oni from street fighter 4 look-a-like. I think that's the General's set.

The bard hat is fabulous!

I don't think those are daggers but rather the hip plates of the armor itself. They've been dabbling more and more, and more often, in asymmetrical of late. It's nice to see, but at the same time it feels like they're trying too hard for those fresh new looks. Case in point the Gerolt Bard and Monk armor.
If it is in fact concept art and not a 3D model then I find it hard to rationalise the artist drawing it like that, but each to their own.I don't think those are daggers but rather the hip plates of the armor itself.
It's been pointed out that there is a matching "tassle" visible between the characters legs too, so you're probably right.

I think the biggest reason for the armors looking bad, is that the pic seems to have been taken on minimum graphics settings; doesn't look like there's any shaders, or anything.
how does that look like ninja gear?
if that's not PLD set, i don't know what is.
what you think is daggers, is actually the belt. There's lots of belts that look similar. Look at Raptorskin Jacket for example (belts are included in body pieces, graphics-wise)
