Tickets will go on sale for the price of $120.00 (USD) per ticket. (Gouge much?)

    $120.00

For comparison, one of the largest cons on the east coast, Dragoncon in Atlanta GA, which has hundreds of guests, hundreds of panels, shows & performances, a parade with a few thousand cosplayers in professional costume, a dealer's room the size of a small shopping mall, and more costs $105.

The teaser site doesn't even give info on what to expect at the event, other than that you will get some swag bag with an in-game item... and it will still probably sell out in the first 30 minutes...I'm not sure I'll be happy or mad if I don't get a ticket.

$15 more. Many, many more people attend Dragoncon than will be at this. If $15 is that painful how are you able to afford airfare and hotel?

I just hope they handle ticket sales better than PAX does. I fear you may be right about them selling out in 30 minutes.

As an Aussie on a pension, my only option is to forego the event altogether

No way can I afford to travel a third of the way around the planet to either Las Vegas or London and there's no point in going to one I can't understand in Japanese. With the press conference tour in Aussieland about a month back I was hoping we'd finally get some events here but no luck

I'd be happy to save up between now and October to pay even $200 for an Aussie FanFest because it'd be so much cheaper than a day or two of flying each way.

No luck in the bum hole of the world though

Maybe next year they might come...

They will never come to us. Australia is in the middle of god damn nowhere.

Hence why we have such up-to-date internet.

In comparison you can get Anime-expo tickets for $55 for a week, E3 tickets for $900 for a week, Comic-con tickets for $300 for a week, Blizcon tickets for $200 for a week. Just saying $120 is not that bad compare to other cons =]D

    Plus its Vegas. X]D
