SP nerfed. We were lied to.

I have no clue about party XP which is where it seems most of the complaints are coming from.

Actually, grinding parties in XIV right now are just fine. In fact, at this point in time they are THE VERY BEST way to gain SP. The problem is all the other methods of gaining SP are terrible in comparison now. They basically just turned the game on its head.

Would a duo work? Or is the only viable option a full group?

Duos actually don't seem too bad, did well enough earlier today with just me and an archer for a bit. The SP was certainly far better than the behest we had done only moments prior, didn't approach pre-patch numbers but it was only a duo.

Completely support op. SP is nerfed and the game doesn't seem fun anymore. I don't enjoy having to rest every few minutes. And you can't really solo as melee jobs anymore since cure takes too much mp now.

Leves aren't even good enough to be solo content unless you want to make gil and even then the gil sucks a lot now.

I think some people will like the game more now and some will like it less. I did the starter quests for all 3 cities companies and did the R25 dungeon thats been the extent of my play since the patch. I dont like the way auto attack works personally if anything makes me leave this game quick its gonna be the auto attack i think.

I hate to say this but you can get 22k+ an hr grinding on 300+ sp mobs with at least 3-4 ppl i use to do this pre 1.18 with friends cause we didn't not like to fail leve quest shit much.

eheh ok but if now u cant find ppl... i know too good areas to go grind in party.... but no party.

anyway, wont make ppl start think im biatchin around... i just want 2 things i mentioned before.
For else i played 8years + at ffxi and i know new things(patches,updates,etc) will be given to us time by time.

Btw, i'm from Europe... I'M STILL DOWNLOADING THE F....ING UPDATE!!!! my internet works just great! but this great downloader keeps freezing... (notice i started the download like 1 minute after it was available...i'm @ 80% and my pc didn't take a break)

My biggest fear was a ridiculous SP reward for leve completion... Here we go!

He also stated it is best for those casuals that have less time during the work week to jump on get a few xp and then on the weekend if they want get on with there friends and do activities (non-leves) that have a higher SP return, and more time consuming. They are not meant to be the backbone of anything anymore, now they are as I envisioned them "daily" repeatable quests there to fill in the time when you have nothing else to do or waiting for something more important to start... I was so angered by the fact that I was limited to just Leve's to level up I got bored with it at about r20 I stuck around because I made friends and had fun talking to them, exploring the world and the bits of story we get over time. I enjoy "grind" party's because I get a new group of people to talk to play with and have fun with, it is a great experience everytime. Unless you are one to centrally think of just the XP. Also people must of forgot or never played 11 where is the praise of sweet no longer capped xp of 200xp a kill no matter the level discrepency until chain kills started (also this is pre easy mode XI where you can get 30-90 in a day or 2 now)

Few SP? Right. Very few. With pretty much every possible way of ranking up.
I also remember Yoshi saying he wants to rework the behests, to become a conquest battle.
It sounded like a lot of fun, but no one is going to do them if they are not benefical at all, like they are now.

Also, about the weekend part:
Maybe you don't have many ingame friends, because talking to each other seems to be forbidden in this game or something, at least that's how most people act ingame. Getting together with random strangers is even worse, because it's hard to find someone with this kind of party search function, and when you finally got together to play, it's not working out because people won't listen and everyone is just thinking of themselves and doing stupid things and there's no way to take care of their faults by healing more, because of the Magic nerf.

Basically, I was annoyed with leves.
I don't really mind them being nerfed. Heck, if you asked me, I would have been fine with them being removed overall.
But NOT without a proper replacement. And especially not, when all the other methods like behests got nerfed, too!@-@"

I also agree with the lack of the seeking party function that is lacking I don't understand how after 8 years of XI they couldnt implement it. I was happy though you can label yourself as seeking party now for recruit feature.
