    The party finder problem...

I understand that the idea of having party finder was to bring people together, and I'm happy that we have it, but it might be helpful to have two different sections to the party finder: One for people who have already been through a given encounter, and one for people who have not.

The issue comes down to the repetitive, monotone end game. A person can only fight a boss so many times before he is only in it for the gear, but new players deserve the opportunity to do those fights without player harassment or the threat thereof. The party finder is full of threats to kick people for wiping out on a fight, which pretty much scares new players away from end game content if not the game in general.

Yes, there are people who try to sneak into end game encounters when they do not fit the desired level of experience the leader demands. Most new players don't do this though, and are just scared clear out of the community because of how the party finder makes the FFXIV community look.

Please consider dividing party finder into two sections for the sake of new and experienced players alike. No one here hates new players, but these groups cannot be mixed in every circumstance.

New players should join a group that says learning party or newcomers welcome. People just need to read comments before they join a party. If it says experienced only will kick if you make mistakes then a new player obviously shouldn't join that group.

    .
Everyone can set up a Party Finder, even new players.

There is an option specifically on the Party Finder that states new people, and simply typing "learning party" in the description should be enough. Remind your party before you being that this is a learning party will weed out anyone who can't take the time to read a small blurb about the party.

There's no problem with the party finder, just a problem with people who don't like to read.

Pretty sure the harassment only occurs when a new player joins those "farm party" groups. The following harassment comes from both sides.

Player "I know this fight, killed him 100s of times"
Group "Well, "him" is actually a girl but ok, let's defeat her.
    *instant wipe*
    Player *silence*
Group "Why didn't you do XYZ mechanic, that caused us to wipe!"
Player "I play the way I want!"
Group "I don't think you know this fight..."
Player "Don't be so elitist! And there were no other parties in party finder!"
    Group "Make your own?...."

I know the "learning party" groups in party finder are fewer and harder to fill, but they *do* fill and people do get practice that way. I think the desire to join a experienced party is too tempting though... The problem is they aren't fooled.

I get the reverse treatment lately... I could be fully outfitted by the bosses drops and join a "farm party" in party finder to find out the leader hasn't set foot in there before. Then he promptly calls me out when I did nothing and blame me for the upcoming wipes saying *I* have never done the fight (when obviously I have to have gotten a whole arsenal from the boss). These games of who has done a boss and who hasn't gets really old. I get most harassment from the players that haven't done the bosses.

If there was some sort of separate mode for beginners, would beginners actually join it? I don't think they would. From what I've seen, it would be a mode that no one uses.
