Brayflox's Longstop (Hard) SpeedRun Problem

Hi,
my name is Aelis Wave.
I play FFXIV everyday.
I recently began to have problem concerning Brayflox's Longstop (Hard) SpeedRuns in the Party Finder.
I started my Animus quest last week.
I farmed like everyone else to get my books.
After 3 to 5 days, everything was alright.
Since then, I cannot farm anymore.
I am waiting atleast 40 minutes in the Party Finder each day, and I can never full it.
Everytime I see someone starting one, the only class they accept as DPS is BLM and BRD.
What's the deal?
I am a DRG, never had problem farming Brayflox's Longstop (Hard) SpeedRuns and suddenly every person denies DRG,MNK and sometimes SMN in their group.
What happened to FFXIV?
Square Enix, please do something for us melees.

I actually had this happen the other day when a BLM and DRG helped me (SCH at the time) do the expert roulette. We go Brayflox and the tank just said they were going to go AFK so just kick him because there was a DRG in the party.

One more reason why having multiple classes is useful.
The best speedruns you can get are either blm+brd or double blm.

If you cannot go as drg then just go as something else.
Or make your own party.

But it is a speedrun because its supposed to be fast. And if the party leader thinks that blm+brd is the way to go then so be it.
If you need alot of myth and wanna run 120 brays then ofc you want it to be as fast as possible.
A 8 minute run which is pretty slow would take you up to 8 hours more than a 5 minute or less run.

It has nothing to do with elitism but rather effectivity.

While I understand that those 2 classes have very effective aoe skills, what we've now run into is an issue where to even speed run for your tomes, you HAVE to have certain classes. This essentially goes against the intended nature of the content, where standard light party composition only goes as far as 1 tank, 1 healer and 2 DPS, not 1 tank, 1 healer, and 2 SPECIFIC DPS CLASSES.

Thank you. I have even less reason to speed run now.

Square Enix, please do something for us melees.

I know you need your tomes for the Animus books, but simply don't farm. Don't speed run. Help other players, make friends; run dungeons/treasure hunts/trials just because. . . you can get tomes almost everywhere now. I've leveled a Monk and I'm working on DRG now; as far as the good and the bad, I know that feel. It may not be quick, but neither is the entire Zodiac Saga quest line. So why not just enjoy playing and get your tomes regardless?

Ppl want the optimization and SE won't do anything.
As above said, there are a lot of method to get ToM.
Or being tank, healer, BLM or BRD yourself.

hmmm... have been running BF - BLM + DRG, we do not see any issues.
However, depending on no. of stacks pulled by Tank,
dungeon shd be cleared within 11-14mins.

Do not see any issues with different jobs running BFs.
had various combi like
- BLM + MNK
- BLM + SMN
- BLM + BRD
- DRG + MNK
- BLM + DRG
Perhaps it will be abit slower if dps n healer ilvl are below 90.

Sometimes its also gd to eat a 1gil food like "egg" or etc prior doing runs.

Amazingly, "over stacking" doesn't shorten dungeon duration and its likely
not possible to do below 10mins.
Perhaps players with t9 weapons could.

You really should have multiple jobs at 50.

Even as a bard, it was sometimes hard to find a group to speed run with. There's too many bards so the spot fills up fast. I often times ran as my healer for it.

I've personally never seen a good speed run with a Monk. Bard + Bard is pretty awful too.

Supply and demand buddy. Make yourself useful, make your own group, or use other methods. Se isn't going to change this because although DRG/MNK/SMN may have a harder time speed running there are plenty of other ways to get tomes. I know plenty of people with their Animus who never once speed ran Brayflox HM. I'm sure with the introduction of hunts within a month or two I'll be able to say the same about Novus. If you feel you "OMG have to have the shinies" right now. Take an in demand class and get it to i90. Thgat's what I leveled my WAR for, and outside of raid content it's become my group play class of choice.

I merely take this tendancy as a (self?) confidence problem. It's pretty much one of those "this BLM might be pretty bad by himself, so let's get a brd or an other blm to make sure" cases.
As long there is a good BLM, the other dps does not matter as a BLM solo will blow up a pack of mobs in 25s flat total by himself (i'm i98, there're better geared BLM out there too).
Just make friends to myth run with. If they are beeing stingy about the party composition, then get better friends. Melees actually do make bosses faster, so it's equivalent really.
