A BLM+DRG combo is as viable as BLM+BRD, given DRG and Tank synergize a bit. The few seconds you may lose on the AOE pulls are saved on the bosses when the drg shove their sticks up their asses. But yeah common ppl are dumb dicks n bricks. Friends and FC members for speed runs are way more fun to run with.

exactly, one of the fastest runs I've ever done was blm/monk and blm/drg. a monk can spam rock breaker while in perfect balance, and a dragoon has some damn good aoes as well (can think of the abilities name). then they beat the shit out of the bosses.

i personally set up parties for bard/blm only though, because I'm worried ill get a melee who doesn't know how to aoe effectively. if its a fc mate, i know he will bring the heat. melees are damn good at speed running. pug melees are hit and miss though.
