The classes really haven't been designed with the flexibility to play them how you want, if they did we would be using a variant of the older system that didn't have Warrior/pld/Drg/brd/mnk/blm/whm/smn/sch and we'd probably have skill trees or widely divergent gear sets. The flexibility to play how you want comes from being able to pick up any of these classes on one character.


edit: if we want yet more flexibility then we should probably ask them to prioritize the addition of new classes over new content.
