I think the problem is that there is ONLY one way to play, and ONLY one build of success. Couple this with this lack of consequence from DF and the lack of social community, and you have people chafing under the lack of choice.
That's a bit of an extreme view, don't you think? I screw up on my BLM rotation all the time and I haven't researched how to optimize it (don't play it much) but it's never been a point of contention. Nobody has ever seemed to care. Decent is plenty fine.

What RedAntares was saying was that it's a team game, and you should go in expecting to work together and not let them down. That's nowhere near conforming blindly. It is giving up your individuality, however, as that's what a team should be. You're fighting for and with three others.
