Why is it always raining in The Black Shroud?

Seriously, why is it always raining in The Black Shroud. Whenever it rains, In the game, I lag like crazy! it's constant too. i wish this PC would run this game smooth. I think my graphics card is ok. maybe it's my RAM? maybe my monitor just sucks? who knows..

Prob. has something to do with the event's leading up to the destruction of of the shroud. Garlean invasion... lol

The devs said weather plays an important part in the game, so I can only assume there is a good reason why it's raining allot there.

It's not just the Black Shroud, every area in the game has been like this for several months now And although it is indeed part of an event that's dragged on for far too long, it is certainly detracting from the beauty of the game

Thats what I'm sayin!.. so I got 3 GB o' RAM do i need more? idk if you guys know anything about gaming computers but if your monitor isn't really that good. can it be a possible side effect to how the game runs or does it all pretty much rely on your CPU, RAM, Video Card, and your OS.

Monitor/Display wouldn't have much to do with it hardware-wise. Unless you have a VERY old monitor (I'm talking CRT with the old RGB RCA type plugs) then what you see is what you get. I have a 4.0GZ quad core, 8GB RAM on Win7 x64 with an ATI HD 5700, also with a SSD. The game runs fine normally on higher settings, but as soon as it rains it does seem to lag a bit.

I agree that it has dragged on for too long, I'm hoping that after patch 1.18 they tone it down a little. When you're trying to do something like mining and it rains for an entire hour (real time not world time) it's extremely annoying as it lags everything you do. Especially when trying to hit your mark on the mining mini-game.

I actually miss the music outside Uldah...its my favorite in game and it seems they are always turning it off for the stupid rain and OOO SOMETHINGS COMING (for 3 months).

That's where the music goes?! I have been wondering wtf is up with my music just going away since release. I never really paid attention to the rain going on and off since I usually zone into another part and it comes back then.
