About to say, that looks like an exact copy/paste of the Kraken in XI, which while they have identical mobs in XI (Colibri and such), the textures are updated.

That being said, bring me those joyeuse/Kclubs!

I hope it's true, but if you look at XI version in model viewer it's identical, so is making me doubt it, as even if it kept near identical looks their would be subtle updates purely due to graphics

If they were going to reuse a model for Ultros, they could use the one from FFXIII-2. They've already used enemies from the FFXIII series, so it would be a no-brainer.

Ah I so hope this to be true, anyone who played XI I'm sure had their own experience with boarding the boat to Mhaura for the first time, innocently thinking this will be a pleasant trip with lovely scenery , only to be one shot by Sea Horror.
