Vegas FFXIV Fan Fest: So how close are we to throwing down money for them tickets?

With the news of the fan fest's locations and dates announced just last week (or was it two weeks ago...), my excitement level is higher than ever! And if you're anything like me, you've already looked into flight details, hotel details, and checked to see if any FC members or friends are going to the Las Vegas fan fest.

Now, during the Live Letters at E3, it was stated that the teaser site should be up soon, but how soon is soon? What final adjustments are being made to the teaser site, and what will that teaser site include? How badly do I want to throw money at FFXIV? Wait, please don't answer that last question.

And since, at the time of posting this thread, the teaser site has not been opened, what do fellow fans expect to see at the fan fest? What are your plans, by yourself and with friends? How long do you plan on staying in Vegas? Discussions, discussions. Excitement, excitement.


Guys, I'm so excited. This has seriously been on my mind since the dates were announced. I'm so excited, I have a hard time sleeping. I'm so excited, I could puke out happiness. Guys. Guys. GUYS???

UPDATE: 6/24/14 According to Bayohne, the advance ticket sales is limited to 1,800 tickets, but that is not the total available for the fanfest! So there's an advance and... not... so... advance.

I know the feeling. Glad to know someone else besides me is a maniac who's going out of their way to go. I already reserved a room for the hotel they announced. I want to get one before they release the information for the event. That way it won't be booked out. It's a nice place. Now I just need TICKETS!

That explains the geist of it. At E3 yoshi-p had said it'll be hosted at the rio hotel and casino in las vegas, nevada oct 18-19.
There will be a teaser site where the tickets will also be sold, up soon. But there hasn't been any news since then D:

Me and about 5 of my in-game/real-life friends are making serious plans for this.

- Will finally go to Las Vegas
- Will be able to meet people I have been playing this game with for 8 months
- Will be able to go to a FFXIV venue
- Did I mention we will get to go to VEGAS?!!!?!??!

I mean seriously, what's not to like?!?!!? I can't wait!

Hmmm. I've got that week off (Canadian Thanksgiving), but I work the day after....maybe I can switch a shift. >_>
