You surely haven't watched his Titan Ex and Ifrit Ex videos. I've wiped for month on titan because of idiots who were following his rotations exactly and were totally unable to adapt when they were clearly wrong (even the very first one, before 1st geocrush iirc.....)

Also would like to see any evidence that he claimed that his method is the "one true method" to do the fight. IIRC, his turn 8 video mentioned that there were many ways to push towers and what was shown in the video was only his group's way of doing it. He also mentioned that he would likely do another video to show a different method, but he never got around to doing it.
as I said, I stopped watching his videos because I happened to dislike him. However, when I was still watching from afar, he was simply saying "do this, do that", even for T4. Maybe my view was biased.

As for "omahgerd need to be the first one to post a kill videooooooooo", would like to see some evidence for this, if not its just your personal opinion and you have no idea if he was rushing it or not.

I wonder how many static groups would have been able to clear t6-t9 days/weeks after the content was released if they didn't have his video as a reference. What is undeniable is that he is the first to post end game video guides out there.
I'm fine with people posting a kill video (see BG or the other few releasing such videos as soon as they beat content). a tutorial video however, requires to be exact in your information. If you make a tutorial with errors, you're doing your job poorly. Where is the need of a primal guide in under 2 days ? Get a week to know all and THEN do your video. For coil it's a bit trickier, but you can always watch again you own record until your vocal comments reflect what's happening on the screen.

If your followers don't come only because you're the first, it doesn't matter, does it ? But generally speaking, the "omahgerd need to be the first one to post a kill videooooooooo" mentality is a bad consequence of the overwhelming amount of videos and the desperate need of consideration. Because if you're the first, no matter how wrong/bad you are, people will still come and refer to you above anyone else.

As for the statics, I wonder how they can be proud to beat a new content after a few days/weeks if they only did so after watching a guide ? Was it really that hard to try a bit more and eventually watch the guide after actually trying for a week or 2 ?
There aren't many hard to understand mechanics. You can get a hint of what to do after 1-3 wipes on the same mechanic (by testing everything possible on screen if you have no clue). Anyway, the statics you're referring to didn't use videos for reference, and even less Mrhappy's videos. If anything, they used kill videos from BG or similar groups to be able to pass a difficult phase for them and get access to the next turn.

The statics who use tutorial videos are the one who don't want to tackle the content by themselves or failed to grasp the mechanics.

Now, I also dislike him charging money for twitch, but from what you say the content is still free and accessible and you only need to pay if you wish to talk, which would only apply to die hard fans anyway. I don't see anything wrong with trying to earn a little additional money on the side.
The only advantage of twitch is that you can talk with the guys doing the video or the other watchers. Remove it, you get youtube, but you know you could interact and yet are unable to do so. I'd rather use youtube, as the social aspect of twitch is totally removed that way. As for the "earning money", it is *still* illegal to make money on licensed games unless the society possessing the license pays you to do the videos.
Square Enix encouraging people to advertize their game doesn't mean you have the right to make money on it.

see above. Nothing wrong with videos, but "how-to" guides have to be exact, or at least they need to follow what happens on screen. It's becoming rare with the rush to be the first.

as for the one true method problem in game....

T6 LoS
CT dragon to the north
CT Behemoth placement
Ifrit's LoS
T5 dives & LB on adds
T4 order for P5/P6
T2...
got a bit of T7 too with the kite vs stack method.
Levi Ex before some groups do it with 2 SCH 6 SMN
Moggle Ex when people refuse to even try Titan egi MT

etc etc... Can't change people I guess
