So after working on macros for my scholar I was wondering what people use for summoner? Most of the scholar macros I see involve using EOS moves so is it wise to take garuda off auto pilot?

Garuda is better off with Obey for more efficiency usage of Contagion.
SMN, as for me, requires no macro because it will drop your DPS if you see the macro to put up Dots and it will be very awkward to re-apply Dots and as the result, you waste your mana unnecessarily. The only macro for SMN worth be using is Swiftcast-Raise.
Only thing I really Macro is Dots. I suppose you could do a Spur > Rouse > Enkindle. DoTs > Contagion. My DoT macro is Bio 2 > Miasma > Bio1. By the time Bio1 wears, every other has about 2 or 3 secs left so it rebuffs them.
Dots Macro is bad....

Since I have Garuda on Obey, I macro'd Aereal Slash (the AOE one) to Bane so it triggers right afterward rather than going to waste when it's off CD waiting on me to trigger it next. Plus of all the skills you could tie Aereal Slash to, Bane makes the most sense to me since I only use it when there's enough mobs in close proximity to each other with sufficient health to be worth the expenditure. If I'm using bane to spread DOT's to sleeping/bound mobs without waking I have to swap to the regular version, but that's a rare enough situation it's worthwhile keeping the macro'd version on my main crossbar.
Would you be willing to share the macro?Since I have Garuda on Obey, I macro'd Aereal Slash (the AOE one) to Bane so it triggers right afterward rather than going to waste when it's off CD waiting on me to trigger it next. /ac "Bane" <t>
/pac "Aerial slash" <t>
You spam the hotkey twice to get them activated. That is my macro command. Don't know about hos.
That's pretty much how mine works, I'd suggest doing it like this so you can see the cooldown on Bane:
/macroicon "Bane"
/ac "Bane" <t>
/pac "Aerial Slash" <t>
Also unlike many macros where you can get around a wait timer with a double press, i don't think that's necessary with a single action / petaction combo- I just did some experiments to confirm that. With Garuda there's always that wait for her to stop auto attacking and kick off Aerial Slash but it goes off the same with a single button press. I thought that perhaps it was just if using an Instant and with a cast I'd have to double press but confirmed otherwise on Scholar with a Physick/Embrace combo like the macro above: right after the Physick cast started on my part, Eos kicked off Embrace and they casted simultaneously.
Now that is new. Gonna try it when I get home
