PT-TP Bar

(Not sure if this is the right place to put this and I'm not sure if this has been mentioned) I'd like to see a TP BAR for the Party members....I main a bard and i'd like to utilize all of my songs when possible. You could make this an "always active" skill just for bard or a feature you can turn on in the config.

You may say to yourself "Its just knowing when a phase comes and using it" Well stuff happens and what happens if a tnk is left without TP? Sure they could ask for you to play the song but i for one would like to be on top of my support skills if something such as that happens . (Bard is a support class after all)

under normal circumstances TP should never be an issue.

abnormal circumstances are like speed runs. or tank-n-spank action on easier dungeons. in which case you can use your own TP to gauge the TP of others. during a speed run just hit up the TP song when you are half empty. for tank-n-spank runs through low level dungeons, the only person that should run in to TP issues is the tank. but they will stop to restore it. you can play a song to help speed this along.


under normal circumstances no player should have an issue with TP. though sometimes a WAR may need to use Overpower more often because of a powerful BLM. so if you see them using it like 5 or more times. then you could sing for about 10 seconds.


only other time TP would be an issue is if someone died. they obviously going to need a boost. about 15 seconds of singing is good enough. and really even then you won't always need to sing. if they have Invigorate it will restore TP for them. also, again under normal circumstances, if someone needs TP chances are they are going to use Invigorate first anyhow. but tanks can't use Invigorate.


all-in-all TP is almost never an issue. yes it would be nice to see the TP meter of other players. but not important.

I understand its not as useful as MP/Foe and i also understand its more of a "special" use kinda of song. Doesn't pull me away from saying a TP Bar would still be a useful device for us bards

Also my brain doesn't work on overdrive and between watching MP/Dodging/ & DPS rotation watching what the tnk is doing is on the least of my worries. TP Bar is just alittle something that would be nice

Sarcasm is wonderful when used for the right things , "OMG someone wants a TP Bar! HOW DARE THEY!" Hey i know its not something everyone wants.. forgive me for wanting something that i find useful ^.~

I hate hitting the TP floor when meeting the DPS check. (Turn 8 I'm looking at you).

I've been on runs where we had to stop a while and wait for the tank to regain TP. (It happened to be a level 32 Brayflox run, where even if I'd had the TP song at the time, I'd have lost it to the level-sync, but I'm sure if it could happen there, it could happen on higher level dungeons as well, ones where Army's Paeon is available.)

Having the BRD only do Army's Paeon when asked to slows things down, as the tank usually won't ask until he/she runs out, whereas it would be more effective if used as it's starting to get low, but not yet empty. Besides which, if it's in the middle of a long fight, having to ask for the TP song involves stopping your attacks long enough to type out the request. Not exactly optimal for slow typists or those who need to set down their controller to reach for the keyboard.

Well anyway, that's just a long-winded way of saying "+1". I'd like this feature, too.

Bray runs with a DRG and he can spam aoe. If I see TP, I can paeon when his tp at the middle of it so can keep up.
But anyways, I use paeons to replenish my own TP more than other ppl when I'm Volley'ing hahah
