Dyeable Swimwear

I've seen characters wearing swimwear in colours other than black or gold. Where are these coming from?

Those are likely from 1.0's summer events, and/or 2.0's summer event last year (which had 1.0's swimsuits)

It depends if they flesh it out more. We need recurring events to be more substantial. You can forgive them for last year since the game had just be released and they needed time to stabilise it. It's an issue all MMO developers have too with recurring events. There's always an excuse that we're working on patch x so we can't give it time. While we all want patch x to come out you can't forget about the yearly events. Yearly events are enduring content and get used every year for the life of the game and should be improved upon every year. Patch x will be played intensively for a few months but after that will mostly be forgotten, especially when a new expansion pack comes. A yearly event is always there, every year. To me a yearly event is more important that patch content since it lasts 'forever'; it's current every year.

I'm a bit hopeful, but reserved in my hope for better holiday/ seasonal events from SE. All through FFXI they produced events so dull that I almost never bothered. Frequently they were exactly identical year after year so there was truly no point in every redoing them after the first year. Hopefully they change things up, but I fear more short dull quests that involve you completing some FATE, possibly multiple times for rewards that are at best mildly useful for vanity.

I don't have an issue with FATES and currently I am grinding 5/12 for ATMA. If they were renamed local events then people probably wouldn't mind because that's exactly what they are. There's no difference except that little circle on the map.

World of Warcraft's summer event has just started. It has a instanced boss and it is possible to wipe in in but it hasn't changed since last year so I doubt it'll be that bad since people will heavily out gear it. The events are fairly entertaining but... I've did it years ago. I completed my event meta in 2009 so there's nothing new for me; it might have made me seriously resub since I'm on a break until WoD. I hope SE do update them significantly each year to keep them interesting or I just wont bother.

They already came back around, and this year is likely to be Yukatas. Who knows if they'll bring back the swimsuits a second time. I mean they already broke the quote about not bringing them back in the first place.
