    Why add hordes of aggro mobs that make grade 5 gathering impossible BEFORE adding the stealth skill?!! How can u kill the fun of playing for months like that? Please remove/move those mobs until that skill is added to give us some kind of playability.

    SE please fix this fast, u will lose many many players if this is kept this way!

    That's a little extreme. I doubt they'll lose "many many" players over something like this. That being said, it is a bit of an annoyance. It'd be nice if we could get some words from the devs on this.

    You can switch classes if you get agro as long as the mob is still yellow i do it with conj and miner at humblehearth.

    I'm very disappointed to hear this news. I really wanted to raise my other two gathering classes while waiting on changes that made battle class grinding more suitable. Now it appears as if neither can comfortably be played.

    I guess I could craft? ...ugh.. *shudders*

    You could always bring a friend to make your gathering speedier and more profitable.

    You can gather while your friend keeps the mobs off you and you share the spoils !

    There was a botany level at Iron Lake that had kobolds sitting at the bottle neck of a path you had to go through in order to reach the node areas. They fixed it slightly after a patch but prior to that it was basically a suicide run. My boyfriend would go with me and try to stay them off on his high level gladiator but it often didn't work well. Despite him being very skilled, it maybe only worked a few times out of the bunch.

    Now it may work for the lower zones if you have a high level friend trail you around in a lower level area. But doesn't this all defeat the purpose of what is largely supposed to be enjoyed as a solo activity?

    Hoping the map redesign takes this into consideration.

    Also, it's fine by me to have some areas be slightly challenging to sew their goods from. I used to enjoy going into the volcano area in FFXI to mine ores (its been ages, forget the zone name). Any one of the mobs surrounding could have killed you in a few swipes. But, you had stealth tools at your disposal and you were on whatever job you pleased to be so you weren't completely vulnerable. If something started attacking me I could fight back, sleep, or just take the hits running away. Gatherers in this game don't have any of those options native to their own class currently. Maybe it's an open opportunity to add some new and interesting abilities to their repertoire.

    The "gathering mini-game" in and of itself isnt exactly exciting, but to imply that noone would find the DOL classes entertaining is insulting.
    I enjoy mining when it's early in the morning and im not in the mood for combat. It allows me to make some progress (gathering supplies for crafting grinds) while not requiring 100% of my attention. Also, the miner's rank 20 class quest was fantastic. (those twins are great)
    Honestly, if they add a few survival skills to our moveset i could really grow to enjoy the sense of danger as well.

    There are players who enjoy playing the DOL classes, trocien, myself included

    Levequest "Swimming in the Iron" (Fishing R40), expect the 2nd fishing spot to be camped by 10-20 R44+ aggro Kobolds, finishing the leve is possible but you have to be patient, sneak around them and try as fast as possible to get your 3 catches before one moves and aggros you, all within the 30 minute time limit.

    I actually like the sense of danger from this but it sucks that you loose like 7% durability on all gear from a return if you fail!

    All of this is of course assuming you first manage to break the rules of physics and get to Iron Lake in the first place without the Young Raptors getting you. :P

    I never complain, i keep my mouth shut and i almost never read or post on forums. That having been said, Do any of those dev's even think, like at all? Seriously explain to me how i am really going to do any mining at Treespeak, not only do i have to deal with the Goblin NM but now there is also 7-ish rank 47-49 Ixalis in the way. Really what were you thinking, were you thinking at all? I don't mind a little challenge and i don't mind having to switch to one of my killing classes every now and then because there is an agroing mob in my way, but you have managed to make doing treespeak mining leves as well as mining in that area, almost impossible. Goodjob! way to use your head! I'm so glad you all have been taking cause and effect into consideration when developing this game!

    *edited: BTW i have no problem killing 1 or 2 Ixalis but how the %@$^ and i suposta kill a group of 7 of them? REALLY DID YOU PPL USE YOUR HEADS AT ALL?*

    I heard iron lake is pretty much not minable now
    Treespeak for the most part could be worse, but you cna gather there(just not all the nodes are available so you may have to deal with that)
    Hala isnt safe in the south area BUT its 100% safe for leves as long as you dont go around south to get to the different parts, havent tested its actual gathering nodes yet(the south ones are pretty screwed thats for sure, i heard inside the cave got worse too but the rest?)
