The MP cost balancing has been coming ever since MP started to regen in passive mode. People somehow thought they could get that boost without making any sacrifice, and they were mistaken.

The lack of transportation is a bummer, but that ship has sailed and is going to be in port come the next patch. I suppose you make the observation to illustrate a point, but that point can't be "The cart came before the horse" because Yoshi P had no control then. You could, instead, make the point that the game was released unfinished. In that case, though, even Square Enix seems to agree since they're still not charging a fee.

Consider that releasing the patch in its current state allows Yoshida to collect feedback now where it is easier to make changes. It is not what I would call an ideal solution, either, but I did want to see this patch come out sooner rather than later so I could see what kinds of changes were in store. Now that I can see them, I have my forum granted opportunity to be a part of the development process by providing feedback about how the patch has affected me.

It's not all "ponies and rainbows" but nor is it a poisoned beverage. Real life often turns out to be less than ideal, but the whole final fantasy 14 team is trying very hard to keep it as close as they can despite being only human. Ideally, we would do the same for them when speaking of their works.
