This isn't new to this patch, this started with Diremites and has gotten progressively worse.

I agree. When doing Well's leves for Botany it never fails that one of the trees I need to log to complete the leve is right next to the NM Daddy Longlegs. I always have to run him off, then wait for him to de-aggro me, then try to sneak past him to get back to the tree. Sometimes it works and I can complete it, sometimes he comes back to the tree.
It's been an issue for a while and I know SE said they would look into it and try to fix it a bit ago... but it did keep getting worse and now it's become hard to complete leves with the newest changes.
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
^^Reporting in: I just came back from Treespeak and boy am I beat ... my rank isn't even high enough to compete, I tried to investigate but I went down hard ... 3 Black Elfs are tough obstacles indeed, using return after an overwhelming defeat, I quickly want to Ul'dah to get repairs, Going back, I decided I'd give it one more go and sooner enough I ninja'd it though ... my investigating would bore no fruit but it was enough to just see the Ixalis and the Wild Hogs... End of Reportwell that's news to me...
one things for sure now whenever I get the time I'm going straight to Treespeak to check this out, I've never been there before but I've got to see this for myself... Are you serious? I've encountered NM Daddy Longlegs and Roselings *Edit:while doing gathering leves but now it's a Diremites? & Ixalis?...
I believe someone said something about "support class" but to getting this kind of treatment? patch 1.19 come sooner!

"It's The Journey that is important, The Destination is Not that important."
add to that wild hogs, i used the skill on one of them to prevent agrow, but the cooldown of the skill is 9min and there are 6 of them next to the mining nod.well that's news to me...

I know they wanted to add a sense of danger and excitement to FF14 but this is just bordering on the ridiculous when the mob repop before you're even done harvesting.
If they were smart they'd just add mobs that would aggro you if you weren't supposed to be harvesting that area like a r24 running around in humblehearth (since you can accept leves starting at r25).
I haven't an issue with this. In Treespeak, I just kite the Ixali Fencers away from the nodes they stand away long enough to mine/log. I Haven't a problem with the NMs yet... The Goblin NM has spawned out of the way for me. Besides. Ol' Bloatbelly has ALWAYS been there. Why choose now to complain about it?
I haven't tried Halatali or Iron Lake yet. I'll do that tomorrow.
Any reports on Coerthas? I'm keen to know if it's any different for gathering before I head out there.
I'm not much of a harvester, but I can still agree that something is very off there.
+1 to the OP.
Hopefully SE takes care of it.
They re not thinking about disciples of lands in the areas before they pop beast tribe there. I think small examination of leves tracks and nodes before placing horde of agro mobs at place would help Devs actually.
