The item level sync system has been added.
When undertaking a duty utilizing item level sync, the item level of any gear exceeding the maximum item level will be adjusted accordingly. Unlike character level sync, however, gear parameters will not be subject to further reduction beyond that brought about by the item level decrease.

In order to ensure participants are evenly matched, materia bonuses, as well as the Morale parameter, will be ignored while item level sync is in effect.
* Restrictions will not apply to the use of player actions or traits.

As of patch 2.3, item level sync will be applied to the following PvP instances:

The Wolves' Den (Matched, IL 80) / The Wolves' Den (Light Party, IL 80) / The Carteneau Flats: Borderland Ruins (IL 80)

Before I start, This thread is not for petitions, not for protesting, or complaining.
please don`t turn this thread into a a debate or complaint thread on how its unfair that they are doing an item level sync.

This thread is to try and figure out if ilevel sync will be the same as level sync and what the BiS of for i80 ilevel sync and i90 will be.

A really good example of level Sync was made in the level 40 Tweaking thread by TaneshimaPopura:

First and foremost we will go through the Sync system. The current system works as such, if you have a gear which is Equip level above 40 it will be sync down to iLvl 38-39 range, posses only 1 sub-stat (Priority on the highest sub-stat), and iLvl 40 DMG, negate all melded materia.

So you're asking how does it pick substat? Say you have a Spear which has 12 ACC 11 Crit 10 Det. For that item lets say their substat cap is 15-16 range. The system will pick Det as the substat because it has the highest ilevel weight. If 2 substat of equal weighting occurs (ACC, Crit, Sk Spd, Sp Spd) the system will always pick Acc > Crit > Sk/Sp Spd.

Level 40 Bracket Twinking.

This being said, will Item level Sync work the same as Level Sync?

If it does then what kind of Tweaking will we need to do for an item level sync of 80?
To get us started I compiled a list of i80 gear for each Job.
