I love that society uses this word to demonize people. I guarantee there is at least ONE thing that everyone strongly dislikes that might be a little unfair. You can call EVERYONE a bigot. Just because someone doesn't agree with your choices it MAY make them a bigot because "fairness" is a subjective concept. What does this mean? You think someone is a bigot? So what... we ALL are.
Because I dislike something, it doesn't mean that it's unfair. I doubt there is a single person in the world who likes everything. If I dislike something, unless I say I "strongly" dislike it, nobody can judge how much I dislike it. Maybe in this generation the word has lost some of its strength, but from my generation's point of view it is a VERY strong, derogatory term, and an offensive insult to boot....and it WILL make any sympathy I had for a person's situation, dissipate
