Amusingly this is my attitude toward the entire marriage system. And yet here we are.

I'm very disappointed with this community on the forums with this thread.

Wail and gnash your teeth all you want. I don't believe for half a second that SE will actually do this and I have zero personal interest in any marriage system: straight, gay, poly, or otherwise. I'm just pointing out a rather blatant fact when I say that polygamy is already established in game. If there's anything disappointing about this thread it's the double standard being applied to equal rights. "Polygamy" is the greatest fear of the gay rights supporter, because they know it does even more than "traditional marriage" to undermine their cause. They get all indignant about being oppressed, then turn around and do the exact same thing to an even smaller minority because it serves their own self-interest.

Just because a few (VERY few) people indulge in what is considered illegal in the majority of countries/religions in this world, does NOT make it ok to ask for.

Your thoughtless blanket statement here basically just ruled out gay marriage, too. Think more critically about your arguments to avoid giving the wrong impression.

You've got to be kidding me. That's essentially the entire Muslim world, covering more than 1.9 billion people and over 25% of the world's population. By comparison, the gay population in America is estimated to be less than 4%.
