What's your MMO history?

first was Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast in 2001.

LOL Same on that. Man that brings back memories. Having some friends over at my place and messing around on the game. We'd be running around the lobby shouting things like "My name Onofre" (teasing a friend of ours) and go up to people and use the collapse macro. There was quite a lot of laughter from the people we did that to. Good lord though, that dial-up lag.

Ragnarok Online - Approximately five years of playing on and off, began around January, 2003
Final Fantasy XI - Easily 5 years worth of time dedicated to this, started around July, 2008 - GALKA WHM4LIFE
World of Warcraft - Intermittent playing in Vanilla, BC, WotLK, and MoP, not real end game raiding except in the BC era
TERA - Short lived fun for a few months
Trickster Online - Play like a month out of every year since it's inception to its closure

Misc. other MMOs experimented with like Secret of Solace, Ragnarok Online II, FlyFF, Grand Chase, etc.

Way to make me feel old...

I started playing mostly asian F2P MMORPGs, played Atlanctica Online, Mu, Granado Espada and Rohan (played that one for about 2 years) and some Lineage 2 in a "private server".
Then everyone in my Rohan guild jumped to Aion, that was my first P2P game, played Aion from launch in 2009 and dropped it definitely a few months ago (still have it on my desktop lol).

I played other MMOs like SWTOR, LOTRO, the new Neverwinter MMO, GW2 but none of them could get my attention for more than a couple months....so I guess FFXIV got a milestone with me by keeping me interested after a year.

What was odd last year, FFXIV was the first game I played in a long while without open world PVP....felt weird not having to be checking over my shoulder 24/7 for a red zerg incoming....

oh my i think i may have seen you that sounds so familiar i did spend a lot of time in the lobby lol. and yes "dial-up lag" was the worst! haha ^.^
