Or they could just improve Flash so that it's on par with Overpower and disallow Warriors to cross equip it. Or switch around when sword and shield oath are given (SE's obsession with every class being based in DPS is really detrimental to the overall balance of the game). I'm not sure that just adding in something after Riot would solve the AoE issues paladin has at low levels. You're sacrificing a threat generation combo by doing the riot blade chain to begin with, so you are even more dependent on flash which we all can agree isn't as good as overpower. There's a bigger risk of losing monsters before you get that chain completed even if there was a bigger threat return should it land on all monsters. It would have to be a fairly large AoE, and even then with the way monsters "queue up" attacks and can't be interrupted even with a provoke, you're looking at a teammate getting smacked at least once before you are back in control again.
