This is the reason why i always ask if group wants medium or big pulls when doing DF roulettes, and i usually wait response from healer and not from DPS as its pretty much up to them how much i can pull.

I'm sorry but I gotta laugh when I see a thread title like this. I find tanks are the most hard headed, disrespectful of the lot. Not to generalize of course :P Not waiting for buffs, forcing new parties to skip rooms and speed run everything, dismissive of good advice etc. Tanks: Get over yourselves. You're not all special little snowflakes xD Again, sorry to generalize.

Ouch... that hurted... But I understand you. Yesterday I was lvling my thaumaturge class and the tank... Omg... He was with the MP bar full and with afraid of calling the enemies and I, as Pala as my main class, was trying to help him saying "use flash. a LOT". We were at lvl 17 which is even more reason to use flash like no tomorrow. I tried to help and make an enemie sleep in which pull and just in the end he was respecting my decision, because the healer was almost dying, and waited for my sleeping enemie to attack the others. What can I say... My boyfriend was lvling arcanist and so we fight with his carbuncle too :b So the tank was almost just pulling one mob since one was sleeping and the other with the carbuncle

It's not the disrespect that gets to me (for any class or role), it's the ignorance. DPS with two settings On and Off, if they pull, it's your fault. Can't possibly be their fault. Healers who spam HoTs and AoE heals like they are going out of style, then wonder why the mobs immediately chase after them and yes Tanks who don't use (or know how to use) their enmity abilities and blame the DPS or Healer for pulling.
I'd say the game needs to do a better job of giving all roles an awareness of enmity, but to be honest even if it did...most of the offenders won't read it or pay attention. They'll just skip through it like everything else.

This pretty much sums up why a lot of people don't want to tank low level via DF at all. It's not the job of a DD/heal to decide what to pull, when to pull it, or what pace things will go.

I'll bet any money you like you don't behave that way in high end content. Just run straight up to twin before any pulls/aggro and start blasting away, do you? The lower level content, and players, require respect as well.

Ignorance itself isn't the problem, we all were new once. The problem is when ignorance is coupled with ignoring advice more experienced players give you and/or complete lack of communication.

@DPS pulling: If it's going too slow for you, just tell the tank to pull more than one group at a time. Maybe he'll listen and everyone will be happy in the end, maybe he'll just ignore you or maybe he'll say that he doesn't want to for some reason. But just pulling right away is the worst possible solution, you can think about that if the tank just ignores you.

Pretty much this. If its a random group, Im willing to go at a pace and figure out what my healer can/cannot handle. I might be the one who's holding the enemies attention but they're the ones who are keeping us all alive.

Now a Free Company run is an entirely different story in regards to pulls. -chuckles-

Heal parsing is absolutely useless. If your peeps are dying all the time and never topped off, you're doing it wrong. End of story.

Leveling my MRD, I really didnt have trouble keeping aggro >_>; I played every class in WoW, from tanking high end, dpsing high end, and healing high end. So I usually DONT mark why? I feel its no need to for myself, again why? Because I can SEE when dps pulls another target, so I target swap, and focus hate on that target and repull aggro. This game to be honest, is quite easy to tank in, and usually if a dps says, well why arent you spamming overpower or anything. Ill tell them, if you focus on the tanks target, and not randomly pull aggro from another target, knowing im not tanking it, and then CONTINUE to pull it, then you deserve to die. Dont like it? Kick me and ill requeue, i have instant q, and you dont ^_^; Try stunning the target first, then using your threat combo, it helps
