Kitru, thanks. if it was a text or spreadsheet, I could migrate the information into Excel and modify it, but the web site has it as a jpeg or something like that. I have been playing the low level dungeons and such to get better. Since I have no friends (tissue anyone?), I am always with a random group of people. Because of that, I get to see how mobs and bosses react differently and how I can pull enmity when necessary. Some SCH's use a healing EoS, while others use a tank EoS. Grabbing enmity changes based on what the EoS is doing. There was some irritating, and somewhat funny enmity draws by an ARC last night who kept firing on random targets, even when I had them marked. Then he would run away from the group. Not just in the room, but way down the map! Once, the healer chased him, and I was left with the PUG with our health waning while this ARC was being healed. Later, he was left to his devices. Once, he grabbed a mob and they ran after him and the room sealed with all of us inside and some of the mob running after him. I was laughing my butt off! He was killed, of course, so the mob suddenly reappears on top of me. After dispatching the bad guys, we met the boss and finished it off. Another run with different people had that healer blasting stuff with fluid aura. I can understand that if they are attacking him, but they were next to me! Then I'm chasing the mob down all over the room. I'm not sure that those playing other classes know that we have a very limited range with most of our attacks.

Both of the SCH fairies are healing pets. Eos is a straight up healing pet (ST heal, AoE heal, mdef buff, and heal buff) whereas Selene is a support pet (ST heal, silence, spell speed buff, skill speed buff). The tank pets belong to ACN (Topaz Carbuncle) and SMN (Titan Egi). If you're seeing a SCH pet tank, it's likely because they're just healing and you're not generating a lot of aggro on everything in the fight.

It's important to note that heals generate aggro for every point that they heal on every enemy that they and/or the person they are healing is currently in combat with. Effectively, every single heal is an AoE enmity generator. AoE heals get especially bad because that's aggro for healing on 4+ targets that's getting applied to everything that's aggro'd. If you're not generating at least some modicum of enmity on everything you're in combat with, you're going to lose aggro to healgro no matter what the healer is currently using.

Honestly, while you're leveling, you're much more likely to lose aggro to a CNJ/WHM than to a SCH. The fairies will only use their ST heal when you are below 80% (or they are specifically instructed to use it by their owner), and the AoE heal that one of those fairies gets is only available once every minute. CNJ/WHM will often throw heals at you even if you've only taken a tiny sliver of damage (how else are they supposed to feel like they're doing anything, unless, of course, they realize that they don't need to constantly overheal and can actually afford to go into cleric stance and help with killing stuff) and are able to spam the living hell out of their AoE heal from early on.

I'm pretty sure most people realize that tanks are melee classes. It's just that a lot of people either don't care (pretty common at low levels given that tanks aren't really all that much more durable than anyone else until your 30s) or assume that tanks can instantly generate insurmountable aggro on absolutely everything in the fight in 2 seconds (like most other MMOs do). Enmity isn't really a major concern later on (especially after you get your tank stance, which basically trivializes enmity generation after the first 30 seconds of the fight), but it's not "I'll get aggro on everything by sneezing" like a vast majority of other MMOs.

Isn't it 1/2 unit of enmity generated for every 1 point of healing if target is below full HP, and 1 : 1 if target is full HP (overheal)?

Derp. I meant to say Pet. Just started typing and forgot to re-read what I wrote.
