This. The little emnity indicators aren't just for the tanks to pay attention to. When I DPS, I pay attention to them and if I see I'm pulling too much hate, I switch targets.

It's not just the tank's role to keep up with the DPS, the DPS should be willing to slow down a bit if the tank's having issues. Everybody needs to work together... And contrary to popular belief, being super optimized for DPS output and doing your absolute highest DPS 100% of the time might not always be the best idea.

Sounds to me like OP's DPS took the easy way out and blamed OP rather than adjust their playing style to work with him.

Warrior > Defiance, Overpower, Flash, all aggro is now back to you. Lose one target? Provoke and Butcher's block once.
Paladin > shield oath, flash, circle of scorn, "Lol what is aggro" lose one target? Provoke and rage of halone once.

At lower levels, Overpower and Flash are your b*****s

Marking your kill order can make life a tad easier as a tank. If someone's attacking something out of order, that's their own fault.

However, like someone pointed out, if you're losing hate as a MRD/WAR, you might wanna double check your rotation. I understand you're using flash and Overpower, but you can't expect to hold hate just from using them once or twice at the beginning of a pull. It has to be a part of your rotation from time to time.

Part of being a dps is learning how to throttle said dps. It has become pretty common that my drg will have more if not close to the same amount of hp of the tank while doing dungeons and at that point I have to adjust because they are most definitely new and don't want to make their job a nightmare.

Well... I understand you, I am lvling Pala right now and sometimes things get out of control because you are trying to keep all enemies turned to you and one dps is attacking one mob and the other dps another mob and sometimes it gets caotic, but I think that if you try to control things a little it wil be good :3 I mean, you have flash and if you try to use a combo in one enemy at time, you can control well a pull

    Why?

Why do people take it personally when they are not able to conduct the party the way that they want to? It is your job to make sure enemies are attacking you. I mean, there are definitely times when I feel that such a reaction is warranted... But most of the people who make these complaint threads are talking about their experience in a low level dungeon.

You know, where you are given plenty of room for error and having 2 decent players in your group usually means that you are going to finish the dungeon no matter what.

Most of the time you should use incidents like this to challenge yourself to be better at your job.

Maybe it's because I've played in groups where I know that answering the question "why didn't you pick that add up right away" with "because you didn't let me hit it first" is stupid, but as someone who primarily plays a Tank in this game - I have difficulty understanding why you would do something like this.

Pettiness takes time, unnecessary effort and doesn't kill bosses.

It's not relative. Sometimes, with me, I always try to turn the enemies to me, but the problem is that, sometimes, we try to turn and the dps keeps attacking the same enemy that attacked the dps first and that the tank is trying to turn to him. Sometimes is the tank that don't even try to turn the enemies. Each people has a way to behave. We can't always blame the others and sometimes the error is not ours

While i understand the frustration that comes with a bad tank, at no time should you tell anyone to change class and stop playing that forever. You were new once too, just because of him not being a "good" tank right this second does not mean that he will never be a good tank. We already have a lack of decent tanks so creating this stigma around tanks helps no one including yourself. Offering actual advice will do 1000 times more good than just telling someone "your bad so stop playing forever"

Personally I like the way aggro is handled in this game way more than in WoW and many other MMO's. In WoW it was so easy to hold aggro as a tank that you didn't have to even try, pretty much you had it and nobody is going to take it from you. In this game you have to actually put some effort into building and keeping aggro and in my opinion actually having to work somewhat to properly fulfill your role is a good thing. I'm also glad for the most part that aggro management is not solely up to the tank but the team as a whole, it makes people need to pay attention to what they are doing instead of just spamming all their abilities without a thought, although many still do unfortunately.
