Combat GC restrictions in frontlines

I'm am Adder but I really REALLY want to switch to Immortal Flames, but my sole reason for not doing it is because of the fact that it resets your rank.

The rank is just a number. There is essentially nothing different you can do at rank 40 that you can't as a rank 1. I swapped from Adder to Maelstrom and other than not having the enhanced abilities at the start, it wasn't a problem at all and even then i ranked up so fast at the beginning that it didnt take much time to get some good starter pvp points in.
