I'm am Adder but I really REALLY want to switch to Immortal Flames, but my sole reason for not doing it is because of the fact that it resets your rank. :< I understand having to start from scratch in your new GC and all, but the PVP ranks are already something you worked hard for so having to have it reset just to play with friends is not cool.

The rank is just a number. There is essentially nothing different you can do at rank 40 that you can't as a rank 1. I swapped from Adder to Maelstrom and other than not having the enhanced abilities at the start, it wasn't a problem at all and even then i ranked up so fast at the beginning that it didnt take much time to get some good starter pvp points in.

You lose all your upgraded ability's what are you talking about? You start back at Rank 1, as do the points you put into your abilitys. I dont buy the you ranked up so fast....Ive seen the mealstrom Queue times.

The other problem with the the GC is that some peoples queues are taking forever, open it up so people can actually play.

You lose PVP ability points. And if you happen to be wearing i100 pvp gear, that also.

I am aware that you lose your upgraded abilities but you still get the basic versions of all of them which are still fine, the most important of them all being the defensive skills like Equanimity, Sacred Prism, Testudo, Purify and Attunement and offensive ones being Full Swing, Axe Kick, Blast Shot and Weapon Throw and a few others. Sure you won't get a fast recast on skills, 30 more increased potency, farther ranges or a 5 second longer duration, or whatever other upgrades you get, but those upgrades are amenities, not the rule. those are nice additions but it ain't like back in early Wolves' Den days when they didn't give them to us at all and we had to earn them or you just got merked every match because you didnt have enough skill points for Purify or Attunement yet.

I ranked up from r17 to r40 in about a week or so, and got my Warhorse mount in the first week, because I did it the first week of Frontlines release when queues were back to back and Maelstrom was winning back to back as well. Easy mode. Trying to do that now? Probably not so much depending on what datacenter and gc you're on. from what i read on forums, some people are still getting less than 10 minute queues which is still good, and some people on my server say they still get 10min or less queues on Adder.

True, but its not the optimal gear in Frontlines anyways so you won't be wearing it (unless you just want to risk a decrease in some stats just to show it off) and if you're concerned about also not being able to do 50s Wolves' Den, there's i80 Lvl Sync 50s Wolves' Den for that.

All ya'll are worried about is eye-candy and nothing that essentially is gameplay hindering; you still get your basic skills and you can do i80 sync WD and FL for max XP so no, there isn't anything thats excruciatingly different from r40 to r1 anymore. SE knew what they were doing when they put the swap penalty on there and I think its fair AND ya'll are forgetting you're getting a megaton of XP at the same time. When I was Adder it took me two months of getting 30, 50 and 100 XP per game playing all day. now if you start off at rank 0, you get at least r4 right off rip just for doing ONE FL game. boom that's one skill you can buy. AND you got your challenge logs that give you even more XP.
